Hmong Poetry Book: To Live Here

In this groundbreaking full-length collection of poetry, Hmong American poet Soul Vang presents 55 poems drawn from the Hmong diaspora of the 20th century, particularly from a California perspective. Published by Imaginary Friend Press. Although the Hmong trace their heritage back over 4,000 years, they did not have a written language until the 1950s. Soul Vang’s debut collection occupies a unique space in Hmong arts and letters, adding greatly to the literary legacy for the next generation of Hmong writers and thinkers.
